Verity

This site started as being about the ambient music I was making at the same time my mind started thinking about words that went with the music and I started to write those words down.

From that, I started to think about dystopian worlds and the end of work as automation takes off. From that comes the short story of Verity, a story that was written by coding. I then used online translators to slowly disintegrate the original text, inspired by The Disintegration Loops by William Basinski.

The work itself was copy and pasted into translators instead of using automation though, this was if I was mirroring a live gig. A live novel so to speak.

The language itself distorts and contorts, bring down the hierarchies of words, our cultural implications of language being ripped apart as the text runs through other cultures.
